Camp Adams is located on 216 acres of mature temperate rainforest in Clackamas County, Oregon. Not only do we provide meaningful summer camping experiences for children, youth, and congregations, but we continue to shape Camp Adams into a site for conservation education and sustainable ecological practices. In 2018, Camp Adams entered into an easement agreement with the local conservation district that preserves 180 acres of forest in perpetuity, with financial proceeds from the agreement invested in an endowment fund for the long-term support and maintenance of the camp property.
Children and youth from kindergarten to high school have been attending summer camp at Camp Adams for decades. Age-appropriate activities create a traditional overnight camp experience framed by the values and faith of the United Church of Christ. Summer camp staff and weekly volunteers work together to lead programming, daily swims in the camp swimming hole, outdoor group activities, arts and crafts, nature experiences, and evenings gathered around the campfire.
